I am mostly a sports gamer. Throw on some sports game and I could play all day. Until the day a Splinter Cell game comes along, I don't want to play those first person shooting games. I can't stand the super fast paced fighting games where you are shooting to kill whatever and try not get killed. Well, the day came that my wife said "You should try Ghost Recon, it's a Tom Clancy game." From that day, I was hooked!
I couldn't believe it. Another Tom Clancy game that caught my attention from the moment I first saw the previews to it.
The gaming world has changed dramatically since the Splinter Cell days. At the time, I had even said to myself that these games couldn't possibly get better than this? Man, was I wrong!
Ghost Recon allows you to use more than 60 vehicles for all the terrain. You can also take to the air and sea with boats and aircraft. In the Narco Road DLC part of game, you could even use turbo boosts on some supercars.
Ghost Recon takes place in the Bolivian Wildlands. The game is so beautifully made that at times I just take a cruise just to take in all the scenery the developers took time to make. Take time to enjoy the scenery if you decide to take action against the cartels.
Ghost Recon has DLC which allows you to continue the story either on Narco Road or Fallen Ghost, the most recent DLC.
If you enjoy taking your time with tactical maneuvers instead of all out shoot to kill make some noise type game then this game is for you.
Thank you Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for making a grown ass man feel like a twenty something year old again.
