Last week I had received an email from my boss DJ Nova that was from a site called Observer.com regarding A.I. Driven robotic race cars. I watched a YouTube video of a demonstration of these future concept vehicles. It was quite futuristic, innovative and a concept that may very well happen someday. I can tell you I am a person that it takes a lot to impress me with new technology and how it's used. Being a gamer, I am intrigued by the idea of humans remote controlling such complex machines. Not only in the daily grind of work, but sport as well. As we advance into the digital age more and more we have to consider fossil fuel may not existing. Also with sports such as NASCAR trying to attract the younger crowd into the sport and it's younger fan base that most thrive on a quality video game, who is to say the fan base now could be the actual drivers and stars of the sport in the future with this concept? Us the gamers??? Well I'm a gamer and can vouch for the honest crowd that I'm not qualified at all. In terms of the "Future" I would rather see the human element always be there in racing and how we drive our vehicles. I don't think computers driving is very practice in the way we do things in real life. It's how we get things done as humans in real life. Computers are there, but we still run them. The concept is something becoming more and more practical to reality. The question is how much more can we advance with keep us humans in the loop? What do you think?
